...As Edeh lauds Ikyange for MOM initiative
Lobi Stars' utility defender, Kalu Orji on Sunday, 7th April, bagged the man of the match award after performing excellently in his side's crucial victory over visiting Enyimba International FC of Aba, on matchday 29 played at Lafia City Stadium, Nasarawa State.
The Man of the Match award sponsored by the Benue State Commissioner for Sports, Youth and Creativity, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange was presented to the former home-based Super Eagles and a cash donation through the Chairman, Benue State Football Association (BSFA) Paul Edeh Esq.
The BSFA boss lauded the former Benue Speaker for the initiative which has developed a positive impact on the players and by extension the team looking at its current position in the Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL) and charged the awardee and his teammates to sustain the tempo until the stated goal is achieved.
The recipient, Orji Kalu while reacting shortly after receiving the award thanked the Sports, Youth and Creativity Commissioner for his good gesture and reiterated his commitment alongside his teammates to ensure they reciprocate this unprecedented gesture by achieving the needed result at the end of the season and prayed God's blessings upon him.
The former Rangers International and Heartland defender was good at watching throughout the match duration against the likes of Chijioke Mbaoma, and Mujeeb Odufeso who are rated among the best strikers in the league.
This is the second time the Yes Father Boys utility defender would go home with the award since the beginning of this season.
